Today was surreal for me 

We moved the last of our things out of our house before closing 

With everything out I went upstairs one last time to double check we got everything 

As I was walked upstairs I noticed one of my sons dinosaurs left on the stairs. 

I grabbed it and sat down for a minute 

I started thinking about all the good times we had in that house 

First house me and my wife bought together 

House where my son and daughter were born 



Where they took their first steps 

Where we had all their birthday parties 

It was a house we always dreamed of. 

There was some sadness in walking out of that house for the last time 

What’s funny is I paid $360k for that house and now my house is 7 figures with a ton of land 

Now my daughter can have horses 

I’m having a pool installed 

We can shoot guns 

I bought a side by side 

We have our own softball/baseball field 

With all that it was still hard to leave that house 

And we are selling that house to buy my wife her dream house on the beach and as rental property 

Now it’s time to make new memories 

In a house my kids love even more 

My next son will be born in this new house in about 12 weeks 

We will have plenty of things to do

We will take trips to the beach 

We will ride 4 wheelers and watch deer 

Knowing all this and it was still hard to walk away but it had to be done

Moral: if you want to make a brighter future you’ve got to leave the past behind you 

No matter how good or bad the past is you have to leave it there….in the past. 

Learn from it 

Always remember it 

But to grow you’ve got to keep pushing forward 

No matter how comfortable you are where you’re at, go out, move on and make new memories that get you closer to your dreams
