Everyone has always heard “hang out with 5 millionaires and you’ll be the 6th”

“Hang out with 5 intelligent people and you’ll be the 6th”

“Hang out with 5 idiots and you’ll be the 6th”

The list goes on but you get the gist

Everyone has heard this but very few put it into play

I never kept count back in the day but I used to hang out with a lot of piece of shit addicts….

…guess what I was

Yep! A piece of shit addict

Over the years my crowd changed, however, I never really paid attention to the direct correlation of how it affected my life

Thought out all this I was fully aware of this quote but just like most I thought it was just that…”a quote”

That it had no real meaning or bearing on life

Finally, one day it clicked!

Anyone that knows me knows there are certain words in my vocabulary that I use on a regular that have become second nature from doing sales for so long.

One of those words is ”correct”

I say it all the time whether it be in person or social media.

Whether I’m answering a question or just in agreement with a statement or post.

I noticed those who hang out with me the most started using the word on a daily basis as well

(So much so that I actually have the word on me)

This doesn’t just happen with words though.

Over time you become who you hang out with

All aspects of one another’s life start to rub off on one another

How we carry ourselves

How we take care of ourselves

How we speak, think, act, literally every aspect

Think about you accent. You can be from the south and move to New York or Australia and after a period of time you are going to develop an accent

Moral:

Whatever it is you wanna be in life…hang out with as many people as possible that are better than you

In business…surround yourself with success

Bodybuilder…train with bigger and stronger bodybuilders

Writer, runner, florist….whatever it may be…learn to surround yourself with those better and learn as much as possible
